We process only the data needed for your account, purchases, emails and running the website. There are no analytics or advertising services.

Visiting the website
Our hosting provider Vercel Inc. (USA) processes technical data about each request, such as IP address, browser, requested page and time, to deliver and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Account
Sign-in and accounts are provided by Clerk, Inc. (USA). We process your email address, name (if given), sign-in method and session data to run your account and unlock what you bought. Your purchases are stored on your account at Clerk. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Practice answers
We do not store your answers in tests and trainers on our servers. They stay in your browser’s local storage so you can continue, and “Start over” deletes them.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland, and Stripe, Inc., USA). Card details go directly to Stripe. We receive name, email, country, product, amount and payment status to unlock access. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legal retention duties (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
Emails
Purchase confirmations are sent through Resend, Inc. (USA), which receives your email address and the content of the message for this. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Cookies and local storage
- Clerk cookies (for example __client, __session, __client_uat): keep you signed in.
- c1h-theme in local storage: your colour scheme.
- c1h:<test> in local storage: your answers and the start time of a test.
Transfers outside the EU
Several providers are based in the USA. Where required, transfers rely on adequacy decisions such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Account: as long as it exists; deleted when you delete it or ask us to.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and commercial law require.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, object to processing based on legitimate interest and complain to a data protection authority. In Brazil the LGPD gives you comparable rights; complaints go to the ANPD.
